Work fun...

I love the gals at work. We have a lot of fun when we get delirious. This is for Katharine who is leaving us (lucky girl) on December 10 to head to Korea. She will be missed!

San Francisco visit

My gammy's service was beautiful and exactly what she would have wanted. Everyone had something nice to say about her - mostly how much she loved to sing and smiled a lot.

Porter came with us and he was a hit! Goodness everyone loved him - I mean come on, he's cute, but he's also 4! My whole MN family has never been able to figure out who he looks like the most - until we were at Gammy's condo and saw pictures of my uncle, Tim. Holy cow, it was practically the spitting image! So that was scary - but Tim turned out okay, so we've got high hopes for Porter.

Blair and Laura were also with us! It was so nice to have the whole family there. And the trip for Blair went smoothly - very cool. We now know he can travel - and well at that!

On the trip we had to visit the Golden Gate bridge because it's in the kids movie: Monsters vs. Aliens. Porter was so excited! I told him he was bigger than the bridge and to prove it I took this picture:


He also got hit on by not one, but 5 lovely ladies giving away free hugs:


We all had a blast! San Fran is by far one of the prettiest places in the U.S. I got a few pictures of sunset near the ocean:


Gammy will be missed and I'm glad the whole family got to say good-bye to her.

I love turkey...Chicken is my number one, but turkey is a very close second. When it's Thanksgiving time, turkey slides into number 1 for about 3 weeks.

I've got a new toast...

I know toasts are rarely done anymore-especially when you're 29. I mean it's not like you go to a kegger and start toasting "Slainte", right? And I go to a lot of keggers now that I'm older, so I should know.

Why don't people toast anymore? Is it because we don't have cool things to toast to? I've decided I'm going to start toasting everything - we sit down for lunch and I have a diet coke-TOAST. I drink my powder medication in the morning-TOAST. I'm at a kegger with a 2 dollar red cup-TOAST. I think it would make every drink taste better.

Plus depending on the toast I could: add years to my life, bring good health and friends to my table and be in heaven before the devil knows I'm dead!

Now I just need to come up with my own toast...

First blog post

So my friend, Katie, made me start a blog. She said people would actually like to read what I have to say. WHAT?! Why do you care what I write? Isnt this mostly for me - to pretend I'm creative and ultra cool? I mean I got a tattoo - doesn't that prove I'm cool? Maybe not - because I didn't get my ink on my lower back.

Things to do before the New Year:
1) Go to Park Tavern for karoke (sp) on Saturday nights at least twice
2) Go roller skating
3) Go ice tubing
4) Go ice fishing
5) Try ice skating again
6) Start a pointless blog
7) Grow my hair to my feet
8) Finish "The Tudors" season 2
9) Work out 5 times a week
10) Learn how to spell karoke (sp)
