Alrighty, I did it.
I am now an online dater.
I've heard from numerous people that it's worth a try. I don't want to date a guy I work with (and to be honest, I'm not meeting many guys here who interest me). I don't want to meet a guy at a bar. I don't want to be set up because that would create awkwardness with whoever set me up (I like him, he doesn't like me....or he likes me, I don't like him). So screw it, let's go online and see who'll have me! Oh and by the way Reader, you will be experiencing this with me because I intend to blog about it.
The whole process has been difficult...more so than I thought it would be. I really have to identify what I want in a guy for the rest of my life? I couldn't even tell you what I want to eat today. How do I get that across in a profile that's suppose to win the hearts of thousands of men?
Then I have to explain my personality, hobbies, favorite books/music/movies and activities? It can't be good to write about how much I enjoy sarcasm and even numbers; thinking of voices, and background stories for those voices, for Chester; dislike seafood and germs; love sweatpants and funny looking chickens....etc, etc. The list could go on forever.
I don't even want to talk about the photos. I've been weeding through my most recent photos and finding the attractive ones...oh wait. For the record, most of my pictures are taken with my tongue hanging out and crazy eyes. RARELY do I look normal...and in the ones I do, it's either bad lighting, horrible hair or no makeup. Oy!
All pessimism aside, it was fun to fill in every blank space, choose hobbies and figure out which pictures will attract quality men.
I would love to give you a taste of the photos and my profile, however I am posting at work and have no access to these things. I will be in Vegas this week into next therefore this post will have to do until I get back. However, Reader, do not cry - for I will post routinely now that I have something to discuss.
